International Produce Training (IPT) is pleased to announce the launch of the Digital Visual Aid Library, a dynamic and comprehensive resource for professionals conducting fresh produce inspections.
While the Commodity Reference Manual has been discontinued, the Digital Visual Aid Library serves as an essential, high-value alternative, providing an unparalleled visual reference for common defects.
Key Features and Benefits
- Extensive Database: The library features over 1,100 high-resolution images illustrating defects across more than 40 different fresh produce commodities.
- Inspection Support: This resource is invaluable for both proactive training (identifying defects to look out for) and reactive reference (accurately naming and classifying discovered defects).
- Continuous Improvement: The library is designed for easy, real-time updates. New images will be added regularly to maintain a current and comprehensive collection. We welcome contributions from our users to further enhance this resource.
Access and Subscription
Access to the library is immediate upon subscription:
- Navigate to our Learning Website.
- Create an account.
- Locate the library under the “Fruit and Vegetable Visual Aids” section on the left-hand menu.
