Good Delivery Guidelines:
15% total, including 3% decay

Common Defects:

Damage by:

(a) Scars when aggregating more than the area of a circle 5/8 inch in diameter on a cucumber 6 inches in length.

(b) Color when less than two-thirds of the surface of the cucumber is of a medium green or darker color, and that at least a light green color extends to within one-half inch of the blossom end on one side of the cucumber.

(c) Sunken area when exceeding 3/8 inch in diameter. 

(d) Yellowing when any spot spot of yellow color predominates over the green on any portion of the cucumber, or when the appearance is materially affected.

 

Serious damage by:

(a) Scars when aggregating more than the area of a circle 1 inch in diameter on a cucumber 6 inches in length.

(b) Color when less than one-half of the surface of the cucumber is of a light green or darker color.

(c) Sunken area when exceeding 5/8 inch in diameter.

(d) Yellowing when the aggregate area of yellow color, which predominates over the green, exceeds that of a circle 1/2 inch in diameter, or when the appearance is seriously affected.
